Not every barrel tells the same story. The Compoveda Añejo Single Barrel is a hand-selected release drawn from a single exceptional cask, chosen because it stood apart from the rest.

Built on the same double-barrel foundation as our signature Añejo, 8 months in ex-Bourbon casks followed by 8 months in ex-Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks - this is what happens when one barrel quietly outperforms the batch. More depth. More character. More of everything that makes Compoveda worth savoring.

What Makes It Different:
Our master distiller tastes through every barrel before bottling. Most go into the blend. A rare few earn their own bottle. This is one of them.

Where the core Añejo is about balance across barrels, the Single Barrel is about the singular personality that emerges when wood, spirit, and time converge in exactly the right way. Expect the same signature Napa Valley Cabernet finish — but amplified, with a more distinct barrel character that reflects the unique life of this individual cask.

Tasting Notes
Aroma: Rich dark fruit and vanilla up front, deepened by leather and toasted oak. Notes of dried fig, dark cherry, and a hint of mocha.
Palate: Full and expressive. Dark berry and plum from the Cabernet barrels lead into warming spice — black pepper, clove, and cinnamon — with a buttery, almost chewy mouthfeel.
Finish: Long, dry, and deeply satisfying. Toasted oak, cocoa, and a whisper of tobacco linger well after the last sip.
